IIgs Rom identity?

Is it safe to say that a IIgs with a removable battery is a ver 3 Rom? Most
Ebay auctions never include Which version the ROM is, but they do include a
picture of the motherboard. I am just wondering if it's a safe assumption.

If the battery is viewable in the picture adjacent to the first slot
then it is a Rom3.
